Transforming knightmares

The final upgrade to the Lancelot, known as the Lancelot Albion has been released! It comes with two guns, two swords, three pairs of hands, a lance, detachable slash harkens, and of course, those fantastic glowing green wings this version is known for.

Then, there's the Tristan (not shown here) which is less flashier than the Albion, but stays true to its transforming origins with its ability to convert into fighter mode. The Tristan is a timely release, conveniently coinciding with all the excitement of the Transformers 2 movie. Perfect for the Knightmare-Transformers hybrid fan.

Both models retail in Japan at $40US, and bigger, better images can be found here.

Two new knightmare frame data has been added for your browsing leisure. They include the Tristan (shown here) and the Shinkirou-both of which can be found on the website. These are the last 2 new data sheets I am adding, because although there are constant updates to existing Gawain and Lancelot models, there are few other new frames to admire. The only other one I shall regrettably miss is the frame of the Knight of One, which has appeared occasional enough for me to completely miss its name.

C.C. across the decades

Back when R2 first started, I compiled "C.C.'s origin," an analysis on the power of the Geass and its origin. With new information from R2, I've completed the final product that fleshes out the clues and backstory involving C.C. and her power. New revelations in the CG universe was always followed by more hows and whys. For anyone who wants a comprehensive look at how the Geass tied into everything, please read my completed work. You might even re-watch CG to fish out all of those clues!

March and April are busy months for KMF toy releases. From a shape-shifting frame, to the Colonel's personal touch, there's something for every robot lover. Each of them carry a huge sword, which is kind of cute. The official CG site retails them for $36-39US, while I've seen online and store retailers push upwards of $70! Why the big difference, sellers?

Take me to the latest models! (last three on the chart)

It's lovely but what is it?

I'm not sure whether to make this out to be a book or poster or cell-shade, but my limited Japanese informs me that it's the work of Code Geass' character designer. And that certainly gives this collectible a credible boost in the leg. Bandai's main CG site boasts that this art creation (depicting a superb image of C.C. and Emperor Lelouch) is made on a paper material that would last for 30 years under direct lighting. That's pretty impressive, and expensive, racking its value up to $200 US. This description and price leads me to believe that this is probably a piece (or a number of pieces) of cel-shaded art or mounted poster.

Apologies for this small picture-it doesn't do the book justice. Irrespective, volume 3 of the manga is out. This is the manga that is canon to the anime, with all the melodrama and mecha action spread out in ink on paper.

I'm personally not a fan of any of the manga, but you might be; it is the most decent way to re-experience the anime without flipping on the tv.

Code Geass on hiatus

Will good news always come with the bad? Just last week, Bandai loosened its viewing access of dubbed CG episodes to include Canada, where previously, only US inhabitants held this privilege. As one company takes a greater stride to please fans, another company takes a step back.

Adult Swim has announced a second hiatus of CG (the first lasting a few weeks from late December to early January) starting next week. There is no indication when the hiatus will end. I hope that this is just Adult Swim's method of reeling in new viewers with repeats and recover from the cool reception, and not a way to cut back due to economical setbacks.

Sexy Viletta and Detachable Zero

It almost seems that sculptors can only get better and better at making CG figurines. There are two more coming our way-one impossibly sexy Viletta. She's wearing nearly nothing, so her shots are NSFW. Zero, on the other hand, is sculpted so well and with such care, that you might as well show him off at work for all to admire. He comes with little trinkets like a sword, a swirling detachable cape, a detachable head (for the Geass eye effect), and fully poseable joints. It's really quite brilliant, and surpasses the one other supreme Lelouch sculpt without a doubt. The expected release date is April, and it will retail for $75US.

Link: View them here.

You know what else would be even more brilliant? Combining the Geass eye effect in just one head using the cold-water technique. For those who cannot read minds, the cold-water technique was very popular in Barbie dolls and other girly doll contraptions where there would be a colour change on the doll upon contact with water. Think about that.
